Washington, D.C. - Today the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) announces the recipients of its Excellence in Journalism Awards.
The recipient of this year's Journalist of the Year is Randy Gener of American Theatre magazine. The NLGJA Journalist of the Year award recognizes the outstanding professional achievements of an LGBT journalist. This year, NLGJA will present that honor to Randy Gener of American Theatre magazine, a writer, editor, Filipino-American playwright, George Jean Nathan Award-winning drama critic, and visual artist based in New York City.
Of Gener, judges said: "Some of the best journalism is being done outside of traditional newsrooms and by people covering niche areas. Gener's writing on theater, especially as it interacts with LGBT lives, is beautifully done, knowledgeable and almost lyrical in its language."
The award will be presented at the 20th Anniversary Gala of NLGJA, held at the National Convention and 7th Annual LGBT Media Summit in San Francisco on Sept. 4, 2010.

About Randy Gener
Randy Gener is the senior editor of American Theatre magazine, published by Theatre Communications Group. In 2009, Gener won the George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism, the highest award for dramatic criticism in the U.S. and one of the most distinguished awards in the American theatre. A Filipino American, Gener made history after being the first Asian American writer to be awarded the coveted Nathan Award. Премиера на "Црвена магија" во режија на Милчин  Вечерва во 20 часот, Струмичкиот театар "Антон Панов" премиерно ќе ја изведе претставата "Црвена магија" од белгискиот драмски писател Мишел де Гилдерод, во режија на Владимир Милчин. Претставата ќе се изведе на новата сцена "112", со што Струмичкиот центар за култура отвора ново гледалиште за камерни претстави.
"Станува збор за претстава во која авторот ја обработува алчноста, која завршува со пропаст, зборува за сопствените страсти кои најдлабоко ги криеме и не можеме гласно да ги кажеме", рече режисерот Милчин.
Во претставата играат Тони Михајловски од Скопје, Ангела Арсова од Штип и струмичките актери Стојан Велков, Ванчо Мелев и Томе Ментинов. Сценографијата е на Крсте Џидров, костимите на Маја Пучевска, а музиката на Марјан Неќак. Со оваа претстава Струмичкиот театар ќе учествува на претстојниот ФКТ "Ристо Шишков". ВИКЕНД НА НОРДИСКА КУЛТУРА ВО СКОПЈЕ |

Норвежанецот Стромгрен доаѓа со две претстави Јо Стромгрен ја воодушеви македонската публика пред шест години, кога гостуваше со две негови претстави. Веќе неколку години е еден од најдобрите режисери и кореографи во Норвешка  Со денешната театарска работилница "Зад завесите", од 11 часот во Младинскиот културен центар, која ќе ја води познатиот норвешки режисер Јо Стромгрен, почнува второто издание на Фестивалот на нордиска култура - Нордиски викенд во Скопје
Фестивалот е насловен "Колку што може поладно" (Цоол ас цан бе) и ќе трае до недела, а целта е да се претстави и приближи современата култура и уметност на нордиските земји преку 30 уметници и експерти од 7 земји од нордискиот регион: Шведска, Данска, Норвешка, Финска, Фарските Острови, Исланд и Гренланд.
На Фестивалот ќе се изведат две театарски претстави, во режија на Стромгрен, два концерта, ќе има изложба на млади дизајнери, избор на кратки филмови, презентација на нордиска кујна, а ќе се одржуваат и работилници за театарска критика, актерска игра и работа со кукли, како и работилница за подготвување на нордиска кујна.
Нордискиот викенд ќе се одржува во МКЦ, кој во овој случај ќе биде преименуван и трансформиран во Куќа на нордиската уметност, а официјалното отворање е утревечер во 19 ч., со изложбата на современи парчиња облека, накит и додатоци од Фарските Острови, Гренланд и од Исланд, насловена " Мали парчиња од мали земји".
Во 20,30ч. ќе се изведе претставата "Манастирот" на Јо Стромгрен компани од Норвешка. Стромгрен ја воодушеви македонската публика пред шест години, кога гостуваше со две негови претстави. Тој веќе неколку години е еден од најдобрите режисери и кореографи во својата земја.
Во "Манастирот", која на минатогодишниот фестивал "Контрапункт" во Полска ја доби првата награда од критиката, се зборува за три монахињи што служат во мал манастир, сместен во далечна долина, кои се на работ да го допрат дното.
Втората претстава на овој култен режисер е перформансот "Писателот", што ќе се игра в сабота од 20, 30 часот.
Фестивалот го организираат Центарот за драмски уметности Т-Хаус, Културниот центар "ЦК" и Нордискиот културен фонд. Извор “Вест„ 02.09.2010 |
